1 Summary in plain language
We collect only what we need to operate the site, answer your messages, and—if you consent—understand traffic in aggregate. We do not sell personal data. You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection where the law allows, and you can withdraw consent for optional processing.
2 Categories of data
- Identity and contact data: name, email address, and any phone number you provide voluntarily.
- Message content: text you submit through forms or email, including attachments if you send them.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device category, and approximate region derived from network information when server logs are enabled.
- Cookie and consent records: strictly necessary tokens, and where you opt in, analytics or marketing identifiers as described in the Cookie Policy.
- Correspondence metadata: timestamps, delivery status, and routing information needed to support your inquiry.
3 Purposes and legal bases
We process contact submissions to respond to you (performance of contract or pre-contractual steps at your request; legitimate interests in operating studio communications). We process logs for security, troubleshooting, and aggregated statistics (legitimate interests; consent where required for non-essential cookies). Newsletters or marketing outreach occur only with explicit consent.
4 Retention
Contact messages are kept for up to twenty-four months unless a longer period is justified by legal claims, accounting obligations, or an ongoing thread you maintain with us. Server logs are rotated typically within ninety days unless isolated copies are preserved for security investigations. Cookie-related records follow the Cookie Policy.
5 Recipients and processors
Hosting, email delivery, and analytics vendors process data on our instructions under data-processing agreements. We assess subprocessors, limit access to least privilege, and document transfer mechanisms for non-EEA transfers.
6 Advertising and measurement (Google and similar)
When you enable optional analytics or marketing cookies in our cookie banner, we may use providers such as Google Ireland Limited (Google Ads, Google Analytics, and related measurement or remarketing technologies). These tools may process online identifiers, device data, and interaction data as described in our Cookie Policy and Google’s privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. You can withdraw consent for non-essential cookies at any time; use the cookie settings link in the footer. We do not sell personal data for monetary consideration.
7 International transfers
If data leaves the European Economic Area, we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. Copies of relevant safeguards are available upon request where we are legally permitted to share them.
If you withdraw consent for optional analytics, we instruct vendors to stop future collection on the same device/browser where technically feasible.
8 Security measures
We use encrypted transport (HTTPS), role-based access controls, unique administrator accounts, and periodic reviews of service providers. We train staff who handle inboxes on phishing awareness and data minimization. No system is perfectly secure; we respond to incidents proportionally and notify affected individuals where required.
9 Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and object to processing where grounds apply. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. You may lodge a complaint with the Finnish Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman or, if you reside elsewhere in the EU, with your local supervisory authority.
10 Automated decision-making
We do not use fully automated decision-making, including profiling, that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.
11 Children
Our content is aimed at adults managing household routines. We do not knowingly collect data from children without appropriate authority. If you believe we received such data, contact us to delete it promptly.
12 Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our processing changes. Significant changes will be posted here; where appropriate we will also provide a concise notice on the site. Continued use after notice constitutes acknowledgment of reasonable updates, except where fresh consent is legally required.
